What is Funiber??

The Fundacion Universitaria Iberoamericana (Ibero-American University Foundation - FUNIBER) uses as its framework the two worlds of university and training.

FUNIBER’s mission is to promote and share knowledge of the Spanish language among Ibero-American people. Founded in Barcelona, Spain, in 1997, FUNIBER has continuously grown to become an academic and professional network spreading across twenty-five countries (see headquarters).

FUNIBER is a research university institution that seeks to connect professional universities and institutions, in order to offer Global Education that is respectful of local identities.

FUNIBER’s three core mission goals are:

• Promote the creation of inter-university programs (programs between universities). FUNIBER promotes programs that permit access to double-titled academic degrees. The degrees awarded are M.A.´s but there are post-graduate programs integrated within them. On the one hand we have Diplomas, Specializations, and Extension Courses, among others of a shorter duration. On the other, classroom-based studies for Doctoral Degrees.
• Support the development of International Cooperation Projects and their activities. FUNIBER works in the professional training and preparation field in order to promote cooperation and economic development. It also participates in cooperation and development activities with a wide range of institutions that work on development and/or international cooperation projects.
• Custom Education and knowledge management solutions for business and institutions.

Funiber designs custom education programs for large businesses, as well as offering consulting on knowledge management systems for organizations that include from the application of strategic knowledge management systems, based on current IT standards.
